Alvin trained and qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney at Murgitroyd. His core area of expertise lies in International Trade Marks. He assists clients in all areas of trade mark and design protection and enforcement, including trade mark clearance searches, prosecution, oppositions, invalidations, rectifications and licences. He has significant expertise in developing trade mark protection strategies for clients, and providing sound commercial advice.Chris has been seconded twice to a large Scottish bank to work in-house in relation to all aspects of the bank’s Intellectual Property, where he gained insight from the client’s point of view.Chris routinely represents clients in opposition work before the UK IPO and the Community Trade Marks Office, and provides advice on infringement matters. He has provided in-house presentations to clients and has presented at a Murgitroyd breakfast meeting in relation to Chinese Trade Mark Enforcement. He has also tutored trainee Trade Mark Attorneys.
